Eniram, a digitalization startup company had become a leading energy efficiency service provider to selected ship types. In the scale-up phase, external support agreement was made with MarineCycles.
MarineCycles provided development and leadership service to Eniram Cruise business. This included coaching of cruise team, collaboration with cruise majors like Carnival Corporation, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings and boosting the development of future offering.
Additionally, Mr. Vesa Marttinen, served as Member of Board in Eniram Group. The services took place 2015 – 2016 and was finalized with support in sales process, where Wärtsilä finally acquired the company shares.
Carnival Corporation PLC. a ship owner from US and AIDA Cruises from Germany as their brand and subsidiary had assigned cruise ship new building contract to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries from Japan. Further for the complex public spaces the sub-project was further contracted to NIT Naval Interior Team from Finland. During the project it became obvious to above mentioned parties, that further support is needed to secure the delivery.
MarineCycles was selected to support the project. First task was to secure the completion of complex public spaces and with that support the delivery of AIDAprima. Second task was interim leadership role with roll-out of learnings from first vessel followed by co-created common way of working and project lead for public and technical spaces sub-projects. Simultaneously NIT was assisted to Norwegian passenger ship building market

This business development case was for European corporation having plans to enter into passenger ships as new segment in marine industry.
Services started with analysis of market demand and forecasting of future needs. Further competition was mapped and competitive landscape was quantified. To support decision making also this corporation’s capability have profitable growth in this new market was analysed and few growth scenarios were outlined.
